  • Select Custom and Network install. 

  • then, select 

    • To get the full version of your server computer: "I'll be using Quickbooks Desktop on this computer, and I'll be…". 

    • You want a server computer to host your files: "I will not be using a QuickBooks desktop on this computer.." 

  • Now, follow onscreen instructions to install the setup completely. 

 

Step 2. In the second step, set up folder permission on your server system. Provide permission to the folder with the company files so that you can access them on the server. 

 

Step 3: Now, install QuickBooks database server manager. I will allow you to share the company files with other servers.  

 

Step 4: Next, set windows admin rights for the Database Server Manager.  

 

Step 5: After that, use the database server manager to scan the folder that stores your company files. 

 

Step 6: Turn on hosting for multi-user access on your server computer.

 

  • Open QuickBooks and select Files. 

  • Then, select Utilities following the option Host Multi-user Access. 

  • Now, select Yes to confirm. 

 

Now, you can access your company files over your Network from any computer.
